Medical Uses
Qinlock is a kinase inhibitor used to treat adult patients with advanced gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) who have previously received treatment with 3 or more kinase inhibitors, including imatinib.
Recommended Dosage: The recommended dosage is 150 mg by mother once daily with or without food until the disease is progressive or in case of unacceptable toxicity. Patients should swallow tablets whole. Take qinlock 50mg tablets persistently each day. Take a missed dose in case less than 8 hours have passed since the missed scheduled dose.
Warning & Precautions
- Do not initiate therapy with Ripretinib in patients with uncontrolled hypertension. Adequately manage the blood pressure before initiating the therapy.
- Assess blood pressure during treatment with Ripretinib, and start or adjust antihypertensive therapy as appropriate.
- Evaluate ejection fraction by echocardiogram or MUGA scan before starting treatment with ripretinib 50 mg tablet and during treatment. Permanently discontinue ripretinib for Grade 3/4 left ventricular systolic dysfunction.
- Impaired wound healing complications may occur in patients who receive medicines that inhibit the VEGF signaling pathway. Therefore, ripretinib has the ability to adversely affect wound healing.
- Data and its mechanism of action suggest that the ripretinib tablets can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman.
