Medical Uses
Rezurock is a kinase inhibitor used for the treatment of adult and pediatric patients aged 12 years and older with chronic graft-versus-host disease (chronic GVHD) after failure of at least a couple of prior lines of systemic therapy.
Recommended Dosage: The recommended dose is 200 mg given by mouth (orally) once daily until progression of chronic graft-versus-host disease that needs new systemic therapy. Swallow rezurock tablets whole. It is not advisable to cut, crush, or chew tablets. Take all the dosage with a meal at approximately the same time each day.
In case a dose is missed/skipped, the patient should not take extra doses to make up the missed dose.
Therapy with Rezurock has not been studied in those with pre-existing severe renal/hepatic impairment. For all those with pre-existing severe renal/hepatic impairment, risks and potential benefits must be considered before starting therapy with Rezurock.
Warning & Precautions
- Rezurock treatment may raise blood pressure. It is advisable to check blood pressure regularly and patients should tell their health specialist if the results are high. A doctor may control the blood pressure with medicine.
- During treatment with Rezurock, monitor total bilirubin, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) at least monthly.
- Based on data, rezurock 200 mg tablets can cause fetal harm if administered to a pregnant woman. Both men and women using this medicine should use effective birth control to prevent pregnancy. It can harm an unborn baby if the mother/father is using this medication.
- It is not known if this medicine passes into breast milk. Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding is not recommended while using this medicine and for at least 7 days after stopping therapy. Consult a health specialist prior to breast-feedin
